RCMP are looking for 2 women involved in an armed robbery east of Calgary


Chestermere RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating two women they believe are responsible for an armed robbery at a pharmacy.

Officials say police were called to the business, located on Marina Drive, after an incident around 8.50am.

“Two suspects entered the business and approached a pharmacy staff member with a gun and demanded prescription pharmaceuticals. The suspects fled before they got the items and before they fled store, an altercation occurred with staff resulting in minor physical injury to one staff member,” police said in a statement.

The two women then fled on foot.

They are described as:

Suspect 1

  • Women;
  • Dark complexion; and
  • Wearing a gray sweatshirt and pajama bottoms.

Suspect 2

  • Women;
  • Dark complexion; and
  • Wear pajama pants.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Chestermere RCMP at 403-204-8777.
