Pikmin Bloom, a new mobile game developed by Niantic, the studio behind Pokémon Go, is now available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
This is an exercise focused app and you can engage in various activities like growing Pikmin with every step you take. Once grown, you can pull them out of the ground and leave them lying around by your side. The more you walk, the more Pikmin you will have. There are seven types of Pikmin, each with different characteristics.
You can also collect flower petals on the heads of your Pikmins and plant them in the ground as you walk. They will become flowers and bloom around you. As you walk, you can take photos and save them as memories at the end of the day. Additionally, you can send your Pikmin on an expedition to collect fruit and seedlings that you may have missed.
If you reach a certain friendship level with the Pikmin, they can potentially drop an item that can turn them into Pikmin Scenery. The application will have fungi nearby that contain fruit. If you come across mushrooms obstructing your path, you can send your Pikmin in to get rid of them.
Pikmin Bloom was unveiled and launched in select markets on October 26. It is available both on the App Store and Google play store.
