HIGH EARTH, Ind. – Indiana State defensive end Inoke Moala was among the players named to the 2021-2022 NFL Players Association’s Collegiate Bowl Big Board, as the organization announced on Friday afternoon.
Moala continues to win accolades heading into the 2021 season as the senior has already earned nods on the Missouri Valley Football Conference pre-season honorable mention team and Phil Steele’s second team. MVFC preseason.
In his last action, Moala played all 12 games of the 2019 season and won 11 starts during the year. The Mishawaka, Indiana native finished second on the team with 12.5 tackles for a loss and added 3.5 sacks during the season. He also finished among the team managers with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Moala has also been a disruptive force in the passing game with six pass breakouts and four rushed quarterbacks.
This January, the NFL Players Association will produce the 10th annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl game at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. Since 2011, the NFLPA Bowl has provided senior NFL prospects with an exceptional platform to showcase their talents to 32 NFL teams, as well as a unique experience that educates participants in the world of football. In the past two years alone, 87 NFLPA Bowl participants have been invited to the NFL Combine and 58 have been drafted by NFL clubs.
The Sycamores open the 2021 season tomorrow night with a Week 0 game against Eastern Illinois. Kick-off on ESPN + is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN + and WZJK 105.5.
