San Francisco, May 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) Tech giant Microsoft has announced several enhancements and new features for developers building collaborative apps for Teams and Microsoft 365.

The company said it’s introducing Live Share, an ability for apps to go beyond passive screen sharing and allow participants to co-watch, co-edit, co-create and more in Team meetings.

“Developers can use new Teams SDK preview extensions to easily extend existing Teams apps and create live sharing experiences in meetings,” said Jeff Teper, corporate vice president, Microsoft 365 Collaboration, in a blog post.

“Live Share builds on the power of Fluid Framework, which supports sophisticated synchronization of state, media, and control actions with only front-end development,” Teper added.

This sync will run on the Microsoft Azure Fluid Relay service instance hosted and managed by Teams, at no cost to developers.

The company also announced other steps it is taking to help developers reach and retain new customers through the Microsoft Store.

When an app is listed in the Microsoft Store, Windows Insiders will soon be able to open Start, type an app’s name, view Microsoft Store search results, and easily install it from there without distracting from their flow. the company said.

Start is a popular surface in Windows, and more than half of customers regularly search from Start. When customers search from Start, they’re often looking for apps, so Windows Search is a valuable new channel for acquiring Store apps, he added.

The company also launched Microsoft Store Ads, a new product designed to help developers grow their business by putting their apps or games in front of the right customers at the right time and to inspire Microsoft Store customers with interesting and engaging content.

Microsoft said it will bring an upcoming refresh to OneNote that will help the app feel both familiar and modern.

Under the hood, it improves almost every step of the note-taking workflow that will help users focus on their content, capture naturally with voice, ink, camera and AI, organize pages the way users want and share notes with clarity. .
