IPL 2022: Ishan Kishan on his first fights

The Mumbai Indians star, while speaking on Gaurav Kapur’s ‘Breakfast with Champions’ show, revealed how he relied on others for a meal as he lacked cooking knowledge and skills. He said: “It was a big deal at the time. There were three players in the living quarters and there were two rooms. And the thing is, I couldn’t cook. So there was a guy doing the cooking. My problem was that I was very lazy. I used to play and lay on the bed.

He further recounted how he lived on cookies, ice cream and crisps for his survival. He revealed, “I joined SAIL and there was a complex area where there was a small grocery store. I was picking up ice cream, fries and cold drinks for the night. I used to tell my family I was eating when the old person downstairs called me for dinner. However, it wasn’t until later that I told them that I hadn’t eaten when I was there.
