Apparently, school isn’t starting yet in the wizarding world. The open-world RPG Hogwarts Legacy from Warner Bros. and Avalanche Software won’t be releasing this year after all.
A new tweet announced what is essentially a delay. The game is now scheduled for release on February 10, 2023 on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The game is, surprisingly, still slated for release on Nintendo Switch. Although the Switch version will be released at a later date.
Previously, PlayStation hosted an entire State Of Play show devoted to showing off the gameplay of magical wizards in training, with a target release of Holiday 2022.
It’s just one of many big-budget games previously targeting a delayed release later this year in early 2023, following Forspoken and Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
