Hitman 3 Year 2 Patch Notes Are Here

Hitman 3 year two is officially here, which means a massive update has been rolled out for the open-world game about hunting down and smothering the world’s fattest entrepreneurs. The update, as we reported, includes full VR support for every PC version of the game, along with a new game mode and a slew of bug fixes.

Hitman 3 in VR supports all World of Assassination levels, including all Hitman and Hitman 2 settings. I/O Interactive says that if you have access to a level in Hitman 3, you can now play it in VR on PC – it’s so simple. This will work no matter what version you’re playing – the original Epic Games Store version, the new Steam version, or the Hitman Trilogy edition available on Game Pass and the Microsoft Store.

There is also a new game mode, called Elusive Target Arcade. Today, January 20, three new arcade contracts are available in Hitman 3, each corresponding to one of the three World of Assassination games. Each contract includes three missions, and if you complete all of them, you can reset and play again. Otherwise, you will be blocked for 12 hours. Overall, you will be able to try 11 elusive target missions in this first batch.

The patch also includes some welcome bug fixes and level adjustments. I/O Interactive says stability should be improved, and they’ve added achievement support to the Epic Games Store version. There are better “targeted” NPC barks, too-bright lens flare has been toned down, and NPCs you throw into an elevator shaft in Dubai will now be killed rather than just pacified. It’s a long fall.

You can read the full patch notes on the official site. The new semi-roguelike “freelancer” mode is expected this spring.
