SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Augustana women’s basketball team returns from the holiday break to welcome Wayne State inside the Sanford Pentagon on Sunday with a 5:30 p.m. tip.

Wayne State comes out of the holiday break with a 7-4 overall and 4-3 record in conference. Most recently, the Wildcats won a road victory over Upper Iowa 65-61.
In the win, Lauren Zacharias scored 29 points, a career high. She scored 10 straight points for the Wildcats in the fourth quarter to outlast the Peacocks.
Kylie Hammer leads the Wildcats in points per game, averaging 20.3 per outing, while Kassidy Pingel is averaging 6.9 rebounds per game.
Augustana holds a record of 6-5 overall and 2-5 in the NSIC. Last time around, the Vikings had a runaway performance inside the Sanford Pentagon, shooting 55.6 percent from the field to the best Dakota Wesleyan 91-67.
In victory, Lauren sees had a career record 12 field goals which, combined with 3 of 6 at long distance, scored 27 points in the game.
Aislinn Duffy continued his double-double reputation with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the contest, granting Duffy his sixth double-double of the season.
For the year, Sees is the Vikings’ leading scorer with 16.2 points per outing. Duffy is the top rebounder with a double-double average of 13.7 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.

Duffy leads the NSIC in doubles-doubles this year with six, a feat that ranks her 11th in the country.
