A local author will organize a book signing

MARION – Herrin’s author Cheryl Ranchino Trench celebrates great reviews for her new book “Snapshots and Footnotes”.

An uplifting collection of the author’s thoughts and essays previously published in several southern Illinois newspapers, “Snapshots and Footnotes: A Collection of essays, ideas and words to bring peace and calm and sweet memory” is now available from Publishing page.

Reviewers describe the books as a heartwarming compilation of short stories, poetry, letters, and thoughts categorized by twelve months of the year.

The words of this small volume first appeared in the columns of Paper Telephone in the newspapers, he Herrin Spokesman, the Southern Illinoisan, and later, the Herrin Independent and Marion Star.

Some were stand-alone essays, but many were simple footnotes, reflections or snapshots in the body of the columns, Trench said.

Trench will appear during a book signing at Barnes and Noble in Carbondale on Saturday, November 13 from noon to 3 p.m.

Books will be available.

Those who have already purchased a book and wish to have it signed are invited to bring their book.

Readers who want to experience this lightweight work can purchase it in bookstores around the world, or online from Apple’s iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.

It’s also available as an eBook to purchase from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, and iTunes!

A website is available for more information on the book, http://www.pagepublishing.com/books/?book=snapshots-and-footnotes.
